Platforms

HIRAYA- It is an ancient Tagalog word for “may your dreams come true” or it can simply be defined as “Dream or Hope”. We the Siklab Party list advocates for the welfare of our fellow students and our mission is to uplift each and every flame in the Phinma University of Pangasinan. It will be executed through our chosen volunteers who excel in academic matters to give further assistance to those students who struggle academically. SSG will be giving the rules and instructions to avoid conflicts such as cheating incidents, etc.BAHAGHARI- it is a term that means rainbow and the main objective of this project is to raise awareness and provide equal treatment to the members of the LGBTQIA++ Community who have been experiencing sexual discrimination inside the school. We, as student leaders will fight for gender equality, visibility, and inclusivity. Everybody deserves equal treatment regardless of gender expression and sexual orientation. This proposed platform will serve to make Phinma University Pangasinan a safe place for the LGBTs to express themselves without facing such given circumstances. Along with this platform, we’ll propose a third-gender restroom for the sake of those students who feel uncomfortable in terms of gender-based comfort rooms provided by the school.DISCRIMINASTRAND- it is the short term for STRAND DISCRIMINATION. It seems to be a simple problem, however, it is a serious issue that students are facing today. Phinma aims to mold students and share knowledge that is necessary for 21st-century competencies. STRAND DISCRIMINATION can affect the mental health and social health of an individual and it can cause anxiety, depression, and even suicide. The purpose of this advocacy is to help the students acknowledge the hardship of every strand experienced by the students and provide unity among students despite the varying chosen track because after all we all study in the same school and we should have a peaceful and friendly environment.KAAGAPAY SA PANANAMPALATAYA- We decided to include "KAAGAPAY SA PANANAMPALATAYA" in our platforms so that the students in PHINMA UPang College Urdaneta won't only have someone who'll help them morally or physically, but also someone who can help them when it comes to their spiritual lives. With this platform, we will do our best to help our co-students in their spiritual lives by encouraging them to embrace the life of holiness through posting bible verses, saints quotations, and weekly gospel reflection on bulletin boards and social media pages; having an activity inside the school that will help them make their relationship with God deeper, like having a monthly eucharistic celebration or holy mass; praying the holy rosary together and reading the bible together; and being with them on this journey of life in Phinma UPang as humble servants of God by having a prayer box where they can put their prayers so that our spiritual brothers and sisters in the campus may intercede for them.KANLUNGAN- As an aspiring student leader, I want to address the issues of students’ mental health. I want to be an advocate to raise awareness about how important our mental health is. This issue is very timely as many students are experiencing depression, stress, etc. I want to bring up the concept of “KANLUNGAN”, which is a Filipino term for “shelter”. Their voices should be heard and I want them to feel that they’re not alone in every problem they are facing. I want them to feel that they have KANLUNGAN that is ready to be a shoulder to lean on. KANLUNGAN will be a way for the students to open up about their problems (if they’re willing) and lessen their burden academically, personally or even their family problems. This concept will be an action to solve and implement any Mental Health Awareness activities that will surely benefit most of the students.LIGTAS KA- As we are an advocate for student welfare we prioritized the safety of our fellow students. Guards must check the bags of the students thoroughly to avoid possession of E-Cigarette or Vape in order to keep students from the negative effects of practicing such. We also want students to gain knowledge about disaster preparedness that can help them during natural disasters such as typhoons, earthquakes, etc. This project includes refilling sanitary stations in every room to prevent the risk of any virus.MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY- In this project, there should be a designated area to practice the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) to upcycle things that are still useful and profitable. Our plan is to launch a project for sustainability called “Pera sa Basura”, We are all aware that this project is already common, but we have noticed that we are lacking in practice. We believe that this project will benefit a variety of factors, including student health and environmental sustainability. Along with this, it can teach us responsibility because, as student leaders, we believe that we should seek change within ourselves because our actions can be everything, and one simple act can echo and create a greater cost.

PROJECTS

SUGGESTION BOX – It’s closely similar to the freedom wall. The suggestions and thoughts of the students will be put on the box and we’ll use it to know where to improve our services. We want their opinions to be heard and that’s the main essence of this project.THIRD GENDER RESTROOM – A restroom intended for students who are uncomfortable in using gender-based restrooms. It is especially for the members of the LGBTQIA+ to have a comfortable restroom without feeling awkwardness. This project aims to promote inclusive and equality for the benefits of the member of LGBTQIA+, which is also students of this institution.APPRECIATION PANTRY – A gift to each senior high school student who successfully finished their exams. On the day of the exam, there is a table with a variety of complimentary snacks for the students. (Such as biscuits, candies, and chocolates)REFILLING OF SANITIZERS - We observed that the sanitizing stations are empty. Thus, we want to implement this project for the safety of the students as we aren’t sure yet about the dangers of invisible diseases.RESTROOM ENHANCEMENT – Make the comfort room clean and organized.

Trash bins in every restroomPERA SA BASURA – This project aims to raise awareness among the students on waste segregation, help reduce garbage, and raise funds by selling used plastic bottles and papers. This project will also help in maintaining the cleanliness of the campus.FIRST AID KIT PER ROOM – It is a project to support Disaster Readiness and Risk Reduction, under our “LIGTAS KA!” platform. It is beneficial especially because dangers might happen anytime, and the only thing we can do is to prepare.CLAYGO – “Clean as you go”, this project will maintain the cleanliness of the campus.PRAYER BOX – A box where they can put their prayers so that our spiritual brothers and sisters on the campus may intercede for their prayers.BULLETIN BOARD – Post daily announcements for the easier dissemination of information.SSG GROUP PAGE – A Facebook page created to announce and inform the students regarding the activities implemented by this organization.PRINTING STATION - This project is simply organizing a printing station inside the campus that may be beneficial to some of our students especially with their projects and activities.

Activities and Games for the Teachers and StaffsMONTHLY MASS – This celebration will serve as a religious catholic movement inside the school that will encourage the students to live a life of holiness. The Holy Eucharist will encourage the students of PUCU to pray for everyone’s blessings and for the school’s betterment. The holiness and good mentality of PUCU’s Community is what we are expecting when Monthly Masses is conducted.

ABOUT USSIKLAB Partylist is an official candidate for the 2023 General Election of the Phinma University of Pangasinan- College Uradaneta.We chose the best candidates we can offer that have burning spirits and flaming hearts to serve our fellow students. We are aware of the responsibilities of this organization and we are prepared to fulfill those duties for the greater good. Moreover, SIKLAB has a lot of plans and platforms that, we believe, will surely benefit not only the students but also the campus itself.
